Scene 1

(A chair at the middle of the stage as the curtain goes up. Vague chattering of students when a student with his untidy uniform and overtly notorious behavioural attributes is seen. He goes on and sits on the chair.

Cracking of the door- it slowly opens. Classroom in complete silence. The student gets up from the chair half way. Enters a peon.

Loud laughter and indistinct chatter. The student sits on the chair again. He is in hysterics.)

PEON : (loudly) Where is your teacher?

STUDENT : In heavens perhaps. Or hell if that's a real place (laughs).

PEON : He must be absent. Get up... Get up, go.

(The student laughs, runs away. Peon takes the chair and exists.)

CURTAIN.
